9/11 Cataluña Day

My last day in Barcelona, after living there two years. The whole city was out with the Cataluña flags, demanding peacefully the beloved independence from Spain. It has been around 300 years since they became part of Spain, but the feeling of independence has become stronger in less than 3 years, now with the strong economic crisis. It’s amazing to think about how Franco almost erase the Catalan language, and now the new generations are taking it back, even when some of their parents don’t speak it at all.

Living in Barcelona was an strong and deep experience for me, living alone for the first time and far away from family and friends. I keep the most beautiful and great memories from this city and also hard times for me. At the end everything is part of grow and learn.
